The Rite Flyers John Clayton and Steve Collier musical partnership started in 1994 under the name Sidehackers.

After several line up changes the name was changed to The Rite Flyers in 2003.  As a duo, they recorded and released the bands debut, self-titled album on The Paisley Pop Label that same year.

John and Steve put together a revolving door rhythm section for live performances that included members of Spoon; Britt Daniel, Jim Eno, and Josh Zarbo along with Sincola drummer Terri Lord before settling on a permanent line-up including former Sidehacker, Joey Shuffield and newest member, Steven Thomas Hall.

With this new line-up, The Rite Flyers are currently promoting the release of a new EP, SUFFER FOOLS GLADLY, on their own independent record label, Irrigation Machine Records. The Rite Flyers are going back into the studio this summer to record a second full length album.
